Noor Atlas: Nexans, together with its partners, wins a landmark project for the energy industry

Nexans Morocco, together with its partners, has been awarded the Noor Atlas project, covering the supply of cables and transformation solutions for the solar power collection and transmission network.

Led by Masen, with the involvement of ONEE and Cluster ENR, Noor Atlas marks a new milestone in the deployment of renewable energy in Morocco.

The program includes the development of six photovoltaic plants across the country, with a total capacity of around 305 MW. Beyond this installed capacity, Noor Atlas is part of Morocco’s national energy transition strategy and highlights a key challenge: building a strong and sustainable local industrial ecosystem around these large-scale projects.

In this context, Nexans Morocco contributes with solutions designed and manufactured locally, leveraging the expertise of its teams and fully aligned with a “Made in Morocco” approach. This enables not only the delivery of large-scale, high-standard energy projects, but also strengthens the national industrial base and creates long-term value.

This project reflects Nexans’ conviction that the energy transition goes beyond renewable energy generation and also relies on the development of efficient electrical infrastructure and a competitive industrial ecosystem.
