Our history

Founded over seventy years ago , Nexans Morocco continues developing and diversifying the experience initiated by CGE Morocco on the electricity market. This strength who was developed on the Moroccan market allows it to improve its know-how around the cable sector and conduct leadership in the infrastructure, industry and building markets.

1947 - Creation of CGE Morocco

1952 - Start of the Transformers activity

1963 - Start of the Batteries activity

1964 - Start Tables and Energy Equipment activity

1971 - Start telephone cables activity

1978 - Set up Casablanca plant

1983 - Introduction to the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

1995 - CGE Morocco became ALCATEL ALSTHOM Morocco

1998 - ALCATEL ALSTHOM Morocco became ALCATEL Morocco

2000 - Alcatel Morocco became Nexans Morocco

2003 - Start automotive cables activity

2009 - Start aeronautic cables activity

2018 - Inauguration of Nexans Ivory Coast

2021 - Inauguration of Nexans Interface Morocco.
