Nexans Morocco at the International Energy Forum: Decarbonization and Competitiveness at the Heart of the Discussions

Nexans Maroc recently took part in the International Energy Forum, alongside key stakeholders shaping the future of Energy and Industry in the region.

During the panel on Industry, decarbonization & competitiveness, one key message stood out: low-carbon energy can only become a real competitiveness driver if it is reliable, accessible and efficiently distributed.

In this context, we have shared our perspective through a structuring project: Nexans Safi plant.

Beyond expanding industrial capacity, this project is designed to strengthen local production of medium-voltage cables ; a critical component to connect renewable energies, secure power networks and support the electrification of usages.

It also contributes to:

– strengthen industrial integration,
– reduce dependency on imports,
– and position Morocco as a competitive industrial base to serve regional markets.

This is fully aligned with Nexans’ strategy to support electrification through resilient, high-performant and sustainable grid infrastructure.
