Industry Meeting Days 2025: Nexans Maroc at the Forefront

Nexans Maroc made a strong impression during the latest edition of Industry Meeting Days, held on July 21–22 in Casablanca. This essential annual event brought together over 3,000 decision-makers, industrialists, public institutions, and development stakeholders to explore the levers of transformation for Moroccan industry in a rapidly evolving global context.

A Strategic Panel on Industrial Zones and Economic Sovereignty

One of the highlights of the event was the participation of Ms. Selma Alami, General Manager PWR Grid & Connect at Nexans Maroc, in a panel titled: "Industrial Zones: Economic Sovereignty, Recovery, and Regionalization."

This high-level panel gathered representatives from the Ministry of Industry, regional planning agencies, industrial operators, and public policy experts. It shed light on the structuring role of industrial zones in:

• Relocating value chains,
• Decentralizing investments toward high-potential regions,
• Transitioning to a low-carbon and digital economy.

Ms. Selma Alami shared Nexans Maroc’s vision for integrating industrial sites into regional development dynamics, emphasizing the need for a balanced approach that combines competitiveness, sustainability, and territorial impact. She highlighted Nexans Maroc’s concrete actions in energy transition, industrial efficiency, and regional anchoring, including the construction of a new plant in Safi.

Award for Energy and Ecological Transition

On the sidelines of the discussions, the Industry Meeting Days also hosted the Energy & Ecological Transition Awards ceremony. Nexans Maroc was honored with the Energy and Ecological Transition Award, a recognition of its efforts in energy efficiency (reducing compressed air and industrial water consumption, LED relamping, modernizing equipment), renewable energy production (rooftop photovoltaic power plants), and sustainable resource management (waste sorting, recycling and recovery, and digitalization of consumption routines).

Held under the theme “Industrial Sovereignty and Sustainable Development: What Alliances for a New Growth Model?”, Industry Meeting Days 2025 reinforced its role as a national platform for dialogue and co-construction. Ministers, CEOs, industrial zone managers, clusters, industrial startups, development partners, and international experts shared insights, feedback, and strategic visions to strengthen Morocco’s productive sovereignty.
