NPNN: NEXANS POWER NIGERIA LIMITED
NPNN was incorporated in July 2009.
We are a subsidiary of Nexans S.A Paris, and we are fully owned by The Nexans Group (90% Nexans Paris, 5% Nexans Kebelmetal, 5% Nexans NOCACO).
NPNN is the answer to the call by the Federal Government for Foreign Direct Investment (F.D.I) and in a conscious effort Nexans S.A Paris has established this company to assemble Distribution Transformers here in Nigeria as its own contribution to the power sector development in Country.
We are committed to providing quality, reliable, durable and efficient transformers and accessories to meet the needs of our entire clientele.
Production: Construction has now been completed and our assembly line is ready for commissioning in November 2010. In the mean time to meet demand we are stocking and marketing transformers licensed under AREVA France which are manufactured by our sister company in Morocco “Nexans Morocco”. The transformer sizes range from 50KVA to 16MVA in both 11/0.415KV and 33/0.415KV.
The Board of Director: Cheif Kola Jamodu is the Chairman of the board while Alh. M. Z.Wada is the Managing Director/C.E.O. Other directors include Mr. Charles Edouard Mellagui (Nexans Paris), Mr. Jan Roemer (MD Nexans Kebelmetal) and H. Schnare (MD Nexans NOCACO).
Our Product Range: We assemble all sizes of Low Voltage Transformers below 500KVA, and Medium Voltage Transformers up to 7.5MVA. Although our main line of business is the assemblying of Transformers, we also act as a trading company for Switchgears, assessories and Energy Saving Lamps.
In the area of quality: We place a high premium on the quality of our products, from design to finshed products. We also comply with the highest International Standards (i.e. IEC 60076). At every stage of the production processes checks are carried for comformity rather than at the final inspection, so that its high standards are maintained throughout the whole components of the finished product.
